Marriot convention center on Riverwalk.  My room faces the river and the walk is right there.  Lots to do and see.  Nice pool but outside.  Ate at Beamie's at the River.  Good food and service,  but no atmosphere and noisy.  Took notes on all the things to do on the way here and home.  Need to plan something.

Stay at Hilton Netherlands.  Easy to walk to places and beautiful hotel.  Gym on bottom floor and nice pool!

In airport go to Bruegger bagels and get hot tuna.  Delish.

Flew into Memphis.  They are barely started.  Maybe K but not 1 or 2.

Try the Hampton Inn in Jonesboro next time.  There is a Kroger close by.  Nothing to do so eat before and get in late afternoon.

DON"T FORGET an hour earlier, so get up and go to the gym!!!  I'm in lobby at 5:40 all ready to go. Sigh.  I'm going to the Waffle House.

Modeled in K, 1 and 2 and teachers and admin and support came.  Behavior is an issue in Caroline Smith and also long term sub in First grade.

Hoping to meet with teachers in the afternoon.  2 hour drive to airport.
Admin totally on board.  Melanie Spence spent most of the day with me.  Jennifer and Becky as well.  Second grade is a bit grrr so they will be the ones to win over.  K and 1 are on board.  I modeled the following in each class:
Drill Sounds, Build words and tapped.  In 2nd I really reviewed as they were not really solid with Unit 1 and I also modeled bonus letters a little, but I've asked them to reteach if they didn't get 80% mastery.  They were all about making copies of test and sending home but I think I talked them out of this.  Bring some food from Kroger again.

Lewistown, PA April 3, 2017

Trying again as my memory is so bad.  Got into town about 7:30.  The drive from the airport is an hour and a half to State College.  I just haven't been able to bring myself to stay in Lewistown, but will do that on my next visit.  I'll be here 2 nights so I came up to the Hilton.  It was Sunday night so I went to Zola's but they were closed.  So just came back to the hotel.  If I spend $25 I can get 500 extra Hilton points.

Near Harrisburg.  Fly to Harrisburg.  Stayed in State College (Penn State) Hilton Garden Inn.  About 20 miles away.  Otherwise, you are at the Motor Inn or similar

So cute rooms.  No where interesting to walk in the heat.  Had a glass of free wine in penthouse.  Nice view and nice wine.  Bartender a little unfriendly, but smiled when I tipped him.  Wine in P and I restaurant not as good.  Try not to valet park so you can get car and go to Riverwalk as it is about 3 miles away.  Beet salad way too much yuck dressing.  Maybe do again but on the side? Or maybe try the house salad?? Great porch to sit on as the weather cools and feel like a wealthy northerner escaping the cold!  Love the history and restoration!

Yes for the salmon.  Excellent.  Didn't get dessert but ordered decaf coffee.  NO. even with the cream sigh. Tasted like water.  No flavor.

Server very sweet and did a great job.  Food slow to come out of the kitchen.  but Ok with me.
